   Fun: 4th 0 Out of 5 stars People will be able to find Nintendo DS Lite to be a way for Nintendo to attract people from their money. It may be that if you believe in yourself as a sucker, but for me the DS Lite is a little better. In other words, if you're happy with your original DS, it still does not waste time buying that. If you do not have a DS period, the DS Lite is a much larger investment than the original.
   With the DS Lite, gameplay is made somewhat easier. The button placement and brighter screen makes gameplay a little better. For one, The Start and Select buttons have been moved to resemble where they were on the original Game Boy Advance. This makes the handling of certain functions (especially for GBA games) a lot easier. The buttons, sadly, is still a little small for guys with big hands like me.
   DS Lite also comes with a fake GBA cartridge (called a "ceiling"). If you do not have a GBA game plugged into the system, you can put in the dummy cartridge to prevent it from collecting dust in there. But when you insert a GBA game, sticking it with about an inch. It just seems weird. The hood can at least keep the system looks good.
   Perhaps the most welcome change for the DS Lite is the screen. The original DS screen was not exactly brilliant. In fact, it has been, by comparison, DS Lite, quite dark. Games Metroid Prime: Hunters are darker as they should. On this new screen, the difference in how bright the games appear really shows. Not only that, but you can adjust the brightness if necessary. It does not really affect the battery life either. You can play the DS Lite as long as you played the original. And even though the original, it charges while you play.
   Another welcome difference is the touch screen itself. These screens much longer than the original DS. Those who have an original DS no doubt seen a lot of scratches on their screen from the stylus. At this point it was noticeable. You can still see the screen, but it was evident that the stylus is a specific number. The screen is more protected here. The stylus does not scratch the screen is not as easy. In other words, it is simply a touch screen for much longer.
   DS Lite also seems better, and fits in your pocket better. It also performs all data on a regular console. For example, if you play a game and you suddenly make, simply flip closed, and he sleeps. There is also a place to store the pen and the pen is better also. It is slightly larger and thicker, so it's not as easy to lose.
   Some problems with the original DS still plague DS Lite however. You still can not play Game Boy Color or regular Game Boy games on the DS Lite. Even if you are still unable to configure the controls to play a GBA game much easier. In other words, you can not configure the "X" and "Y" when you play a GBA game. This probably will not bother you in the long run, however. In addition, the touch screen is still sensitivity. Touch the touch screen with just your hands is more dangerous than the stylus scratching the screen. Fat fingers can damage the screen and therefore not respond to touch of the pen yet.
   When the original DS launched, owners noted that there were not many good games availible. About the game as well when it launches in 2004 was Super Mario 64 DS. Now there are many games out there (and not all of them are ports), so if you want a DS, this is an excellent opportunity to get one, and the DS Lite is a better investment the original by far.
   DS can not play movies or MP3 player, but to be honest, that almost defeats the purpose of a gaming system. I want to buy a portable entertainment center? Of course not, I want to find a system to read some of my games, and Nintendo DS delivers. Real players know it is about games, no bells and whistles of a system. For casual players, book Nintendo DS and DS Lite is a good improvement.
   The Good

   + The location of the Start and Select buttons are easier

   + The battery is unchanged
   The Bad
   -Those who have an original DS, who want a DS Lite will spend more money for yet another DS

   + Works with original DS games and Game Boy Advance Games
   Low price level than competing phones like the PSP ($ 130 versus $ 170)
   + Good selection of games to lower drug prices to add to your collection!

   Cons
   – Game Boy Advance cartridge slot leaves game comes out and does not rinse
   – Shiny cobalt top still attracts smudges – no biggie
   – Reports on common issues with hinge cracking from regular use, time will tell if it is established
   – Somewhat slow start with the DS Download Play
   – Some cheapo accessories Nintendo certified: AVOID Switch & Carry (BD & A), stick with Pelican!
   – Limited built-in settings (only military ????) time format
   – The need to end the game to access other important parameters such as brightness, etc.
   – Colors produced in limited quantities and sells too soon!
   Appearance Form Factor
   I have owned several DS Lites, including the Black Onyx. I chose the DS over the PSP for the games. PSP-2000 Console – Piano Black
   This is by far the best DS Lite! The cobalt blue on black color scheme calls for a color that approximates Royal Blue or Deep Purple! The summit is still a magnet bright spot, but it is so cool anyway! Wipe down.
   The decision to base a matte black is both great for looks and function. The device is easy to keep, not the dirty part in matte black, and will not slip from his hand as much as previous models. This feature started in the deck BrainAge2 new red top. You can sort of see this from the pictures but not really appear in the description. Given this vast improvement is 1, which surprised me.
   I also heard that the hinge was improved for durability, but I do not visually see a difference and I'm not going to disassemble the know. It is a well known problem that hinge cracking has been the only common mistake, if it is only handled with care. I personally have not had a single DS falter on me in any way.
   Other than that, the DS Lite form factor you know and love. The handle only real constraint is that each version of the DS Lite is produced in very limited numbers and sell for a few months. So if you love color, you must act quickly before they disappear from retail!
   Play games and features
   This handheld is very well designed game. The speaker and microphone built into the device is more than enough, and you can attach peripherals or headphones to the port included.
   Nintendo did a good job playing very targeted well designed. Children games like Mario Party and Mario Party DS New Super Mario Bros. New Super Mario Bros. are fun and engaging! Get a group of friends and play against each other by only 1 game cartridge DS Download play and versus modes!
   Similarly, many games for adults, including the cult favorite BrainAge Brain Age, the new BrainAge 2 Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day and my favorite Big Brain Academy Brain AcademyBig!
   Plus now language games MyWordCoach My Word Coach
   My Spanish Coach and MySpanishCoach offer more edutainment options to a growing list of games!
   Nintendo has decided to play and unique design is more important than high-end graphics in a handheld, and I think they are right!
   Features
   The DS Lite features the most outstanding are based on wireless connectivity. Some add-ons you can even surf the wireless Web. There are even applications that allow you to do other things like play MP3s with it!
   Many games offer multi-card play (each player needs a card) or downloading games (1 card needed for 2-8 players) that both use the wireless connection.
   The device has a battery life impressive, and I was a week of light use without having to reload. The use of heavier, you must download it.
   The configuration screen lets you enter an area of 4 Light, which also lets you make your final payment. Some options are not easy to do. It seems that the standard for military time. In addition, you can not change the brightness while in a game. And yet, these things are not significant in the context.
   Your game scores and profiles stored in memory are stored on game cartridges. This means that you do not have to worry about transferring your data on a DS to another.
   Hopefully the next version includes a faster wireless. Loading those games just seem to take too long. Yet it works, and yet it is a minor referral.
   Conclusion
   Overall, this device is an improvement. Nintendo DS continues to attract fans. Just how many of these guys! These colors sell too fast!
   You want to buy a box of Nice and screen protector to protect your DS! Avoid all Switch & Carry accessories!

   Fun: 5. 0 out of 5 stars About a month ago, I decided to buy my first game system since the NES original. I had the DS and I must say that I love. Somehow, they found an idea that seemed like a simple gimmick (dual screen) and turn it into something new and fun. So far, I bought New Super Mario Brothers, Mario 64 DS, Metroid Prime: Hunters, Mario Kart, and a program for Japanese-English dictionary (my main argument to buy it first). It is a good way to kill 5 minutes. or kill within hours. Once you are accustomed to using the stylus, it becomes quite natural.
   Advantages:
   Fun games for all skill levels
   Nice style
   -Wireless Connectivity
   -Many people can play the same game off a short
   Screen with good graphics
   -nice sound
   Extended Life Battery
   Weaknesses:
   "It fits a little awkward in my hands
   -You must buy a screen protector (the pen can scratch the bottom screen pretty badly)
   -In some games, the pen blocks your view of different parts of the screen
   -The Black Onyx looks cool, but it becomes very blurry with fingerprints
   Overall:
   The disadvantages are nothing compared to the pros. I highly recommend it.
